While you're on your way
- Knocked-out tooth: handle it by the crown, rinse gently, and keep it in milk (or your cheek). Call us immediately.
- Toothache: rinse with warm salt water and take an over-the-counter pain reliever as directed.
- Broken tooth: save any pieces, rinse your mouth, and apply a cold compress to reduce swelling.
- Swelling: a cold compress on the outside of the cheek helps until we see you.

What counts as a dental emergency?
Severe toothache, a knocked-out or broken tooth, a lost filling or crown, swelling or an abscess, or bleeding that won't stop are all dental emergencies. If you're in pain or unsure, call (561) 795-7668 and we'll advise you right away.
What should I do if I knock out a tooth?
Pick the tooth up by the crown (not the root), gently rinse it, and if possible place it back in the socket or in a cup of milk. Then call us immediately — a knocked-out tooth has the best chance of being saved within 30–60 minutes.
Can you see walk-in dental emergency patients?
Yes. We reserve same-day slots for emergencies at our Royal Palm Beach office and welcome walk-ins during business hours, including patients who have never visited before. Call first so we can prepare for your arrival.
