Permanent tooth replacement — no referrals needed
A dental implant is a small titanium post placed in the jaw that acts as a new tooth root, topped with a custom crown that looks and functions like a natural tooth. Unlike bridges or dentures, implants don't rely on neighboring teeth and they prevent the bone loss that follows a missing tooth. Everything — the consultation, any bone grafting, placement, and the final crown — happens right here in Royal Palm Beach.
What to expect
- Visit 1 — Free consultation. 3D imaging, a full treatment plan, and a written cost estimate. Insurance verified up front.
- Visit 2 — Placement. The implant post is placed and given time to fuse with the bone. A temporary keeps your smile complete.
- Visit 3 — Final crown. Your permanent, custom-shaded crown is attached — indistinguishable from a natural tooth.

Myth vs fact
What patients worry about with dental implants
“They screw a metal post into my jawbone. It must be painful and scary.”
The implant is a small titanium post, shaped like a thin screw so it holds firmly, and it is placed under local anesthetic. Most patients describe pressure rather than pain, and the soreness afterwards is usually comparable to having a tooth removed.
“My body will reject the metal.”
Titanium is one of the most widely used materials in surgery because the body accepts it, and over the following weeks the bone grows onto the post and holds it in place. True rejection is quite rare, but it does happen once in a while, depending on the patient’s body. We have seen a few cases in more than 20 years of practice, which is why we review your health history first to see whether you are a good candidate.
“Dentures or a bridge are just as good.”
A bridge relies on grinding down healthy neighbouring teeth, and dentures can slip or rub. Neither replaces the tooth root. Without a root to stimulate it, the jawbone gradually shrinks, so a denture or bridge worn for years can leave you with less bone and a changed jawline. If you still have good bone, an implant replaces the root, stands on its own and helps preserve it.
“Implants wear out in a few years.”
With good home care and regular checkups, the implant post can last a lifetime. Only the crown on top may need replacing, typically after 10 to 15 years, like any crown.
“I am too old for implants.”
Age is not the deciding factor. The health of your gums and jawbone is. We check both at your free consultation, and if you need a bone graft we can do it here.
“An implant cannot get cavities, so I do not have to look after it.”
The crown cannot decay, but the gum and bone around it can still get infected. Brushing, flossing and regular cleanings protect your implant the same way they protect your natural teeth.
Implant FAQs
Dental implant questions, answered
How much do dental implants cost in Royal Palm Beach?
A single dental implant at our Royal Palm Beach office typically ranges from $1,750 to $3,600 depending on whether a bone graft is needed. Free consultations include a full treatment plan and written cost breakdown, and in-house financing is available for qualified patients.
How long do dental implants last?
With good oral hygiene and regular checkups, dental implants can last a lifetime. The titanium post fuses with your jawbone, and only the crown on top may need replacement after 10–15 years of normal wear.
Am I a candidate for dental implants?
Most healthy adults with one or more missing teeth are candidates. We assess your bone density and gum health at your free consultation. If you need a bone graft, we can perform it in-house before placing the implant.
How long does the dental implant process take?
The full process is completed over 2–3 visits across 3–6 months, allowing time for the implant to fuse with the bone before the final crown is placed. Same-day temporary solutions are available so you never go without a tooth.
Does dental insurance cover implants?
Many dental plans cover a portion of implant treatment, especially the crown. We verify your benefits before treatment and give you a written estimate. In-house financing covers the remainder for qualified patients.
Ready to replace missing or loose teeth?
If you are living with a missing tooth, a loose tooth, or dentures that no longer fit comfortably, you do not have to guess which option is right. Start with a free consultation: 3D imaging, a check of your gums and bone, a written treatment plan and cost estimate before any commitment, insurance verified up front, and in-house financing for qualified patients. If a tooth is loose, we first find out why, often gum disease, and whether it can be saved or is better replaced. No referral is needed, and the whole process happens in our Royal Palm Beach office.
